Reviews
Customers write reviews from the product page. None of them publishes itself.
Why they start unpublished
Section titled “Why they start unpublished”A review that appears on the site without anyone looking at it is an open door: insults, competitors’ advertising and links to anywhere, on your product page and with your name behind it.
So every review starts as pending, and is only visible in the store once someone approves it. The status cannot be sent from outside: even if someone calls the API asking for their review to be born approved, it is ignored.
Three states: pending, approved and rejected.
Moderating them
Section titled “Moderating them”Panel → Reviews. It opens on the pending ones, which is what needs looking at today. Each shows the product, the rating and the text.
Approving publishes it immediately. Rejecting keeps it out without deleting it: if someone protests, it is still there so you know what it said.
The email of whoever wrote it is not shown in the store and is not returned by the public API. It is there for replying, not for publishing.
AI summary
Section titled “AI summary”If you have AI connected, the product page can show a summary of what the reviews say: what they most repeat for and against.
It is generated from the approved reviews and stored; it is not recalculated on every visit, which would cost money for every person who opens the page.
Without AI, the page shows the reviews as normal. Nothing is missing, only the summary.
